Walter Grabowski
August 21, 1928 - December 4, 2016
GRABOWSKI, Walter Lennard
With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Walter Lennard Grabowski, on December 4,
2016 at the age of 88. He was the cherished husband of Irene (nee Tekatch) for 59 years, proud father of Walter Joseph and the late Maryanne, and admired Gigi of Travis and Indira. He bravely endured the loss of his parents Josef and Anna Grabowiecki and only sibling Joan, as well as many other treasured family members. He was an intelligent, humourous, hardworking husband and father and a skilled master auto mechanic with HMP who also taught for many years at Mohawk College. A wonderful conversationalist, he kept up on world affairs and cheered on the Hamilton Tiger Cats. Walter will be missed beyond measure by all who knew him. Thanks to the Willowgrove for their care of Walter over the past few months. As per Walter's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, December 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the L.G. WALLACE Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa St. N. (905-544-1147). If so desired, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Online book of condolence can be signed at
