<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Svetko, at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Hospital on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the age of 78. Beloved husband and best friend of Jela for 59 years. Dear father of Mico (Anegret), Rada (Zelimir) Rodic and Dragoljub (Nada). Cherished Deda of Kristina, Mirko, David, Marco, Juliana and Emilia. Predeceased by his parents Branko and Ilinka, brothers Ilija, and Dusan and sister Joka. Dear brother of Vlado (Grozda),Dara Cucuz, Veselinka, Koviljka (Bogdan) Ivetic in Serbia, Stana Bubalo in B&amp;H, Jovanka (Branko) Katic, brother-in-law Nikola (Robin) Kovljenic. He will be deeply missed by his many nephews, nieces, cousins,Rodic, Gajic and Macesic families, Kumovi and friends across Canada, the U.S.A. and the former Yugoslavia. Svetko was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral (Nash Road). He worked at Dofasco for 32 years and enjoyed 23 years of early retirement. He enjoyed his family and friends and was a proud and loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan. The family will receive friends at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North (905-544-1147), on Friday, April 1st from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. with Pomen at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral (Nash Road) on Saturday, April 2nd, at 8:30 a.m. with the Very Reverend Father Milojko Dimitric officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington. An additional thank you to the most wonderful and thoughtful staff in ICU at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Hospital. Special thank you to the following doctors for their great care to the end, Dr. Perri, Dr. Duan, Dr. Gow, Dr. Manji and Dr. Skitch and their entire ICU team. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></div>
