For a woman who often read the obituaries to see if she knew anyone that had passed away. This is your moment! On Sunday, June 5, 2016, Rose Wallage passed away peacefully at the age of 75 surrounded by her loving family and husband Jack. Rose did many 'tremendous' things throughout the duration of her life; she laughed, cried, loved and was loved deeply by all. The devotion and love she shared with her husband of 55 years, Jack, was a true love story we all dream of having. She has graced all of her family members and friends with everlasting, sweet memories. Rose is no longer available to: weed her daughter Debbie's garden (no, they weren't flowers!); to remind her daughter Rachelle that she should brake for moose, not small animals; to go-kart in her 70's with her grandson Izak; or to watch endless episodes of "Cops" so her son David won't have to watch the same episode repeatedly. Rose also had a love for sewing and quilting, Auntie Brenda - we may need your help finishing the seven quilts she had in progress. Rose was endearing and to our great amusement, so was her slipper wearing habit - be it at an apple orchard, dinner out or just general errands. Granddaughters Sarah and Shannon will sadly not be needed to unsuccessfully attempt to help their Grandma climb a waist high fence! And last, but certainly not least, Rose will not be writing anymore strongly worded letters, sent in the most beautiful cursive penmanship you will ever see, to any company that messed up (too many to name, you know who you are!) Rose is survived by her adoring husband of 55 years, Jack Wallage; her children Debbie Zabolotney (Jamie), Linda Wallage, Rachelle Wallage (Reed), and David Wallage. Rose will be missed very much by her grandchildren Sarah, Shannon and Izak; as well as her brother John Dallaire (Margitta), best friend Brenda and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial ceremony for Rose will take place for family and friends at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa St. N., (905-544-1147), on Friday, June 10th at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Private burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Red Cross or the Heart and Stroke foundation.

Online condolences at www.lgwallace.ca
