<div itemprop="description"><br>Peacefully passed away at the age of 83 on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Parkview Nursing Center while surrounded by loved ones. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Julia Lukasiewicz and brother Russell. Loving husband of 56 years to Muriel Joan (Broomfield). Very dear father of Sherry (John) Lukas-Koella, Gregory (Patti) and Jeffrey. Loving grandfather to Paige, Brett, Rebecca, Geordie and Brady. Greatgrandfather to Ezra, Boaz and Felicity. Dear uncle to Sharon, David, Daniel and Dean. Joseph grew up in Hamilton and worked his way through school to become a Chartered Accountant. Along the way, JL played competitive football including professional football with the 1955 Hamilton Tiger Cats. Joseph partnered with Messrs. Taylor, Liebow and Ackerman for many years then branched out with his own practice where he helped customers for many years until his retirement. Joseph took great pride in coaching sports and mentoring young athletes and was well respected by those he taught and worked with. JL was a member at Hamilton Golf and Country Club and enjoyed many years of friendship while playing the game he loved most. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment. Arrangements entrusted to the L.G.
