March 10, 1946 - January 24, 2013

Mirko was born in Banija (former Yugoslavia) and in his 67th year, passed away suddenly while vacationing in Cuba. He is survived by his mother Ana, and predeceased by father Milos (1995). Devoted husband of Zora for 46 years. Very loving father of Snezana Sandy (Marko Radic), Dusko, and Alexandra (Miguel Sousa). Loving and devoted Deda to Adriana, Tamara, Ella, Kaia and predeceased by Stefan (Baja) (2007). Survived by siblings Mara, Draga, and Ranko, and predeceased by Dusan (1999). Mirko will be sadly missed by many family, kumovi and friends. Dedo will finally be resting with his grandson Stefan. Five years ago when Stefan took his place in heaven, he also took a piece of Dedo's heart with him. Dedo always told us that Stefan was his hero because he was not afraid to die. Mirko's wish was to be the first to reunite with Stefan. Visitation will be held at the L.G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa St. N. (905-544-1147) on Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 2 - 5 p.m. Pomen to take place at 4 p.m. A funeral service will take place Monday, February 4, 2013 at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church (1415 Barton St. E.) at 11 a.m. with the Very Reverend Father Vojislav Pavlovic officiating. Interment to take place at Woodland Cemetery.

U srcima nam ostajes, uvjek voljen, nikad nezaboravljen.

Online condolences
www.lgwallace.ca

Mirko came to Canada at the age of 22 with his wife Zora to start a new life and family and settled in Hamilton, Ontario. Mirko spent 18 years with Ford Motor and for the latter part of his career was happily self-employed, as it offered him the one thing he enjoyed most in life – an opportunity to spend more time with his family. Mirko was nearing retirement and was looking forward to this new chapter in his life, surrounded by all that was most dear to him – his loving and devoted family.
