<div itemprop="description">O’Brien, Leo William – formerly of Hanover, passed away at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton on Saturday, August 20, 2016.<br> <br>Leo was born in Hamilton, Ontario, son of the late Joseph and May (nee Fitzpatrick) O’Brien, husband of the late Anne (nee Ferris) O’Brien, and father to the late Peter O’Brien. Leo worked for over 40 years as a Mechanic at Sellens Motors and then Mohawk Ford in Hamilton, he then retired to the quaint town of Hanover, Ontario where he was an active member of the community through his church, and various clubs. Recently he spent the last year residing at the Rosslyn Retirement Home in Hamilton where he met many new friends. He will be remembered most for his love of his family, uncanny wit in storytelling, his passion for fixing things, flying hobby airplanes, and the irony of falling out of trees.<br> <br>Survived by his beloved daughters Wendy (Keith) Greeniaus of Hamilton and Valerie (Dr. Ralph) Saari of Fonthill, loving grandfather to Aaron (Justine) Greeniaus, Rebecca (Ryan) Johnstone, Kristin Greeniaus Mervyn (fiancé Ryan Connell), Andy Greeniaus (Maria Fortino), Thalia (Jamie) Hiscoe, and Jessie (Max) Ingrao, step-grandchildren Dr. Richard (Carolyn) Saari and Margaret (Iain) Mitchell, great-grandfather to Logan, Lauren, Piper, Callie, Riley, Kyler, Jack, Sam, and Iris.<br> <br>A Celebration of life will take place at Laidlaw Memorial United Church in Hamilton on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11 am, with lunch to follow. Inurnment will take place at Hanover Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Laidlaw Memorial United Church or the charity of your choice. <br> <br><br></div>
