<div itemprop="description"> <p> Peacefully passed with his family by his side on Sunday, February&nbsp; 24, 2013 in his 86th year of life.&nbsp; George will be sadly missed by his loving wife Marilyn, married 56 years.&nbsp; A loving, kind, humorous father to his four children George Jr., Jovanka, Peter, David (deceased) and Stephanie Thompson &ndash; daughter-in-law.&nbsp; &ldquo;Deda&rdquo;, George was a &ldquo;true gem&rdquo;! He was especially loved by his three grandchildren, Nathan, Olivia and Savannah.&nbsp; He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Darinka and family and his relatives in the former Yugoslavia.&nbsp; Predeceased by his father Lazar, mother Marta, sisters Jovanka and Maria.&nbsp; George will be dearly missed by his close relatives, Warren and Marie Biggs, Lawrence (deceased) and Margaret Bennett, Donald Besman (deceased), Reginald Woodruff, nieces, nephews, close friends and Kumovi.&nbsp; The family would also like to extend a very heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and staff at ICU 3 East Ward at the Hamilton General Hospital.&nbsp; Visitation will be held at L.G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa Street North (905) 544-1147 on Wednesday from 5 &ndash; 9 p.m.&nbsp; Pomen at 7:30 p.m.&nbsp; Funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral&nbsp; (153 Nash Road South) on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. with The Very Reverend Father Djuro Samac officiating.&nbsp; Interment to follow at Mountview Cemetery. </p> </div>
